GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our dynamic team at a primary school. The successful candidate will work within the classroom setting to provide invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs within the classroom environment.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and completing tasks.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
- Promote independence and self-confidence in students by encouraging positive behaviors and skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation, and provide feedback to teachers as required.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from teaching staff.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
