Job Summary

NHS England is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team in supporting students with special educational needs in our Choices College program. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our tutors to deliver educational outcomes and provide individualized support to students with diverse learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns
  • Maintain weekly individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements
  • Work on differentiated activities with groups of students
  • Liaise with the tutor to deliver SEN provision
  • Support the development of social/emotional skills of the students
  • Work with tutors to monitor progress of pupils
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students in a classroom setting, working closely with our tutors to deliver educational outcomes and promoting the development of social/emotional skills.

Requirements
  • Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Qualifications to include GCSE/Functional Skills in English Language, NVQ/QCF, ECDL or equivalent level of knowledge
  • Experience of working in a classroom supporting students with qualifications ranging from entry level 1 - level 2
  • Experience of working with students who have Special Educational Needs
  • Working knowledge of MS office packages
