About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at NHS England. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in our Choices College program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of bespoke Employability training and functional skills to interns
  • Support the delivery of sessions in a classroom setting
  • Maintain weekly individual records for each student that meet inspection requirements
  • Work with students who have a range of learning disabilities and have recent extensive experience in supporting the education of students with SEN on a 1 to 1 basis in the classroom
Requirements
  • Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Qualifications to include GCSE/Functional Skills in English Language, NVQ/QCF, ECDL or equivalent level of knowledge
  • A knowledge and understanding of a variety of special educational needs required for the Choices College students
  • Experience of working in a classroom supporting students with qualifications ranging from entry level 1 - level 2
  • Experience of working with students who have Special Educational Needs
