Cell Culture Media Development Opportunity

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking an experienced cell biologist to join our team of experts in Cell Culture Media Development as a Senior Scientist. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative cell culture media for producing biologically active proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and biosimilars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of Media R&D to plan and prioritize tasks and assignments in a work program.
  • Develop and execute experimental plans to understand and manipulate GS-CHO cell cycle regulation in vitro.
  • Analyze experimental data and write technical reports to ensure scientific soundness and compliance with regulatory guidance.
  • Contribute scientific expertise and propose new ideas and product concepts targeting the research market.
  • Ensure adherence to GLP and EHS regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of BSc in Biotechnology/Biochemistry or related fields (MSc desirable).
  • Knowledge of CHO cell biology, cell cycle regulation, and CHO cell metabolism is highly desirable.
  • Experience with high-throughput small-scale bioreactors and basic cell biology techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, time management, organizational, and written/oral communication skills are highly desirable.
