Rights of Way Officer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rights of Way Officer to join our Transportation team based in Wellingborough. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and management of public rights of way and access to the countryside.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections of the rights of way network to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including elected members, parish councils, landowners, developers, and members of the public, to resolve issues and provide updates on works progress.
- Manage and maintain the Works Management System (WMS) to track defects and works instructions, ensuring accurate and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Assist the Senior Rights of Way Officer in developing and implementing cyclical works programs, including mowing and clearance works across the network.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders and landowners to resolve specific issues and develop strategies for the management of the rights of way network.
- Relevant qualifications in a field such as land management, conservation, or a related subject.
- Knowledge of Rights of Way legislation and the Blue Book.
- Full driving license and ability to drive company vehicles.
- Experience working on the rights of way network, with the ability to resolve conflicts confidently and effectively.
