Transportation Officer

We're seeking a skilled Officer to join our Transportation team in Wellingborough. As a key member of our Delivery Team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance of public rights of way and access to the countryside.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections and raise works instructions in accordance with stakeholder enquiries across the rights of way network in North Northamptonshire.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including elected members, parish councils, landowners, developers, and members of the public, to address customer correspondence.
- Categorize, log, and enter defects onto the Works Management System (WMS) and update customers via the WMS system, working closely with the Communications Team and Senior Rights of Way Officer.
- Assist the Senior Rights of Way Officer with the management of cyclical works programmes, including mowing and clearance works across the network.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders and landowners to resolve specific issues on the network and assist with developing strategies for the management of the rights of way network.
- Demonstrate qualifications in a relevant subject or field, including knowledge of Rights of Way legislation and the Blue Book.
- Hold a full driving licence and have experience working on the Rights of Way network.
- Be able to resolve conflict confidently and effectively.
