Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paediatric Dietitian to join our team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing expert dietetic advice and care to paediatric patients and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide evidence-based dietetic advice and care to paediatric patients and their carers.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure co-ordinated patient-centred care.
  3. Develop and maintain close communications with all healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  4. Work with families who may have learning disabilities, mental health problems, and challenging behaviours.
  5. Document all activities concerning patient care in the electronic paediatric dietetic patient record notes.
Education and Training
  1. Provide effective training to individual patients and their carers/families.
  2. Participate in the training of student healthcare professionals.
  3. Pursue an active programme of personal continuing professional development.

As a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian, you will be responsible for managing and acting as an independent holder of the paediatric caseload, ensuring high-quality dietetic care is delivered. You will also supervise dietitians and dietetic assistants who assist in the care and administration of Paediatric patients.

You will be actively involved in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to all aspects regarding acute Paediatric Dietetics across the Trust.
