The Role:
Job Title: Payroll Specialist - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £48,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: London
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the payroll process, accurately checking and reconciling payroll changes, and preparing payroll processes in accordance with company absence schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the payroll team to run the payroll process
- Accurately check and reconcile payroll changes in relation to new joiners and leavers
- Prepare payroll processes in accordance with company absence schemes, including enhanced sick pay, enhanced maternity pay, and enhanced paternity pay
- Monitor the payroll inbox, responding to queries from stakeholders across the business and externally
- Perform extensive reconciliations of spreadsheets around monthly activities
- Produce P45 and P60 documents as required
Requirements:
- 5-10 years' experience in payroll management within a large corporate environment
- Demonstrable experience of manual payroll calculations
- Strong knowledge of PAYE forms, pension enrolments, and statutory deductions, including tax, NI, and student loans
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
