Perennial is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals in the horticulture industry. We provide free support, information, and services to those experiencing challenges and adverse life events.
The RoleWe are seeking a Caseworker to join our team, providing advice and support to horticulturalists via telephone and email. As a Caseworker, you will work collaboratively with individuals and their families to explore issues, identify solutions, and implement support plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide generalist advice across areas such as social care, health, benefits, housing, and employment
- Build relationships with horticulturalists and their families to understand their needs and provide tailored support
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective support and referrals
- Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and outcomes
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience in delivering a telephone helpline or advice service
- Knowledge of welfare benefits information or advice giving
- Highly developed communication skills
- Excellent sensitive listening and questioning skills
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a salary of circa £29,000 per annum, 25 days' holiday, and a pension scheme. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
