Health Inequalities Specialist

Devon Training Hub is seeking a highly motivated General Practitioner to join our team as a Health Inequalities Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to work with us to address health disparities and improve health outcomes for our communities.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will participate in an educational program, including peer-learning groups and collaboration with subject matter experts, to explore approaches to reducing health inequalities. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a National Health Inequalities Education Program, joining other fellows across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Upskill to meet patient needs in areas of high deprivation and serve diverse communities
- Undertake project work on reducing health inequalities at a Primary Care Network (PCN) level, aligning with Integrated Care Board (ICB) priorities
- Collaborate with systems partners to deliver on One Devon priorities to reduce health inequalities
- General practitioner with MRCGP qualification
- Understanding of Primary Care in England and its interface with secondary care
- Proven experience of regularly working as a clinician in general practice, with current full registration with the GMC
- Current clinical commitment of not less than 3 sessions a week
We offer a competitive salary based on the standard NHS WTE fellowship scale, with an additional educational/project allowance. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in a National Health Inequalities Education Program and collaborate with subject matter experts.
