About the Role:

The Pertemps Network Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide additional support to children's education in a school setting, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs, developing and implementing personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care, mealtime, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with other support staff, teachers, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behavior.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to providing engaging and exciting learning opportunities for students.
  • DBS clearance or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
