Main Responsibilities- Design and develop innovative engineering solutions for Balmoral products from concept to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Produce high-quality 3D CAD models and detail drawings to meet client requirements, utilizing industry-standard software.
- Conduct technical reports and documentation, including engineering calculations, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement company design systems, standards, and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development of new and existing products.
- Support proposal and project work, meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Review and improve departmental systems, procedures, and guides, contributing to interdepartmental process improvements.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of design experience in a fast-paced engineering design environment, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency in FEA and 3D CAD software, with experience in CFD and knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of CAD software, drawing standards, and industry standards, with competence in MS Word, Excel, and Access.
- Working towards or near achieving Chartered Status.
- Experience in thermal and mechanical FEA, CFD, and Autodesk Inventor and Meridian.
- Good technical report writing skills and ability to produce technical calculations quickly and accurately.
