About the Role
Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Nursing Associate to join our in-patient ward at Helston Community Hospital.
This is a full-time position working hours per week, involving Early, Late, and Night duties on a rotational basis to support 24-hour nursing care over a 7-day service.
The successful candidate will possess a commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care.
Main Responsibilities
The Nursing Associate will work with Registered Nurses and other members of the multi-professional team to provide and monitor care, contributing to ongoing assessment as agreed with supervising clinicians and in line with service pathways.
The role involves monitoring the condition and health needs of individuals within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.

Key Requirements
- Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
- NMC registration
- Previous experience of working within a health/care setting
- Demonstrates a commitment to further learning and development
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working within a Nursing Team
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload; recognising where elements of care can safely be delegated to other colleagues, carers, and family members
- Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, digital, verbal, and non-verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge and Aptitude
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice
