The Advocate Group is conducting a search for a Lead Category Strategist to join a prominent Own Brand FMCG organization on a contract basis.
Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate robust growth partnerships with senior procurement teams, serving as the category advocate for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing and nurturing sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
- Implementing effective category growth strategies that align with both organizational and customer objectives.
- Identifying and executing category initiatives that yield beneficial outcomes for all parties involved.
- Mentoring and supporting the development of the Category Manager within your team.
- Preparing and delivering insightful category analyses and recommendations to both internal and external audiences.
- Acting as a leader and representative for the category team within the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Available to commence work on a contract basis with minimal notice.
- Demonstrated experience in Category Management within the FMCG sector, particularly in Own Brand Food.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proven ability to craft retailer-specific narratives that engage customers with the vision and strategic plans.
- A strategic thinker who is also willing to engage in hands-on work.
