Job Description

Job Summary:

The Meetings and Groups Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service to achieve business revenue objectives. This role will involve developing and implementing sales strategies, managing event planning operations, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including local research and networking
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, direct bookers, and agency bookers
  • Event Planning and Operations:
    • Oversee the event planning function and related staff to ensure successful event delivery
    • Manage event planning operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of event planning tasks and deadlines
  • Customer Service and Relationship Building:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including regular communication and follow-up
    • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Supervise and manage a team of event planning staff
    • Set and monitor personnel objectives and performance metrics
    • Provide coaching and training to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage event planning budgets and financial reports
    • Monitor and control expenses to ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting
    • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial performance

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospitality sales role
  • Accor experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong sales and business development skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong financial management and analytical skills
