We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Melior Associates. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale projects in the water and civils sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply chain management and procurement
  • Compile forecasts and attend forecast meetings
  • Prepare internal contract valuations and develop reports
  • Monitor performance standards and quality
  • Procure and manage subcontractors
  • Build strong relationships with clients and their representatives
  • Establish and promote working relationships between departments
  • Manage contracts and scope of works
  • Discuss and develop procurement strategy
  • Submit timely applications for payments
  • Review costs and value
Requirements
  • Experience in delivering large-scale projects in civil, mechanical, infrastructure, and non-infrastructure type work
  • Ability to lead by example and develop team skills and experience
  • Confidence in dealing with stakeholders from different disciplines to establish commercial understanding
  • Championing sustainability, safety, health, and environment
  • Integrity and customer focus
Skills and Knowledge
  • Finance management and CVR's
  • Negotiating and contract awareness
  • Understanding of tendering and procurement processes
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a civil engineering environment
  • Experience of dispute resolution
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office and Evision
Ideal Qualifications
  • Possession of a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
