About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director to lead our UK sales team and drive business growth in the UK and Ireland market. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that aligns with our company's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Develop and execute a sales strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK and Ireland market.
  • Nurture and Develop Business Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and developing tailored commercial service proposals.
  • Drive Sales and Revenue Growth: Effectively negotiate agreements with new clients to drive business partnerships and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our logistics, distribution, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Represent the Company: Represent Wayfair at trade shows and client locations, increasing brand awareness and maximizing networking opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven Sales Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a direct sales position, preferably in a logistics, distribution, or supply chain business.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A forward-thinking and entrepreneurial individual with a strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify, present, and negotiate attractive service packages.
  • Self-Motivated and Resilient: A self-motivated and resilient individual who can operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders. Any other European language would be an asset.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in IT systems and navigation, including Google and Microsoft Suite.
