About the Role

The Associate Director – Mergers & Acquisitions will lead the search and evaluation of established brand product acquisition opportunities and select carve-outs. Deliver acquisition projects of strategic interest through to completion, in order to grow ADVANZ PHARMA's business in line with its strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analytical search process to identify new targets in line with the company's objectives
  • Network extensively with companies that might divest products of interest to ADVANZ PHARMA
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence teams to evaluate product acquisition opportunities
  • Prepare and present financial evaluations in line with corporate requirements
  • Brief post-deal integration/project teams on outcome of DD and deal negotiations
  • Occasionally support/lead divestment activities of non-strategic assets
  • Support business development opportunities by leading on deal execution of licensing projects
  • Keep up with legislation and regulatory policies governing merger and acquisition transactions

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business economics or any other related field

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in mergers and acquisition
  • Proven experience of working on pharma M&A deals
  • Strong understanding of the European pharmaceutical/healthcare sector
  • Established capability to prepare financial models and project valuations
  • Excellent organisational skills managing self and managing others
  • A positive and 'can-do' approach, biased towards finding solutions
