Our core values—Accountability, Ambition, Inclusivity, Playfulness, and Trustworthiness—are central to our mission. If these principles resonate with you, we invite you to consider joining our team.

BENEFITS:

  • Enhanced holiday pay for long service, including a day off for your birthday after your first year. Holiday entitlement is pro-rata for part-time roles.
  • Work-life balance is a priority, with high expectations for outcomes for both our service users and our team members.

  • Responsible for safeguarding children, the Lead Room Coordinator will support staff in protecting children from harm and will report any concerns regarding a child's welfare in line with our safeguarding policies and local authority guidelines.
  • Act as a trained Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), collaborating with the Service Manager.
  • Serve as a key worker, guiding the staff team in fulfilling their key worker responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to ensure the Pre-School meets its obligations regarding inclusion and equality.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the early years sector.
  • A strong passion for enabling all children to achieve their full potential in an inclusive setting.
  • Familiarity with the reporting and tracking requirements associated with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • A desire to further develop skills in a management capacity.

We recognize that confidence can sometimes deter individuals from applying for a position. There is no such thing as a perfect candidate. Disability Challengers is a place where everyone can thrive. We embrace equal opportunities, so regardless of how you identify or your background, we encourage you to apply if this role excites you.

Disability Challengers is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, expecting all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
