Position Overview
The East of England Ambulance Service is in search of a Human Resources Strategic Partner (HRSP) to become a vital member of the Business Partnering Team within the People Services division, on a fixed-term basis. This role offers a blend of remote and on-site work, with the expectation of regular attendance at the office.
The HRSP will be integrated within a specific Trust business unit, operational locality, or specialized service area, providing strategic counsel and support to the local management team. This position is essential in driving the achievement of organizational goals and Directorate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that the guidance provided aligns with the broader strategic objectives of the Trust, including the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, as well as proactive efforts to foster and maintain a progressive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Partnering team operates on a KPI-driven model, analyzing and reporting data from various sources such as employee relations trackers, GRS, TRAC, establishment details, budget information, and ESR. This analysis will inform and guide the team in addressing local operational requirements and meeting Directorate KPIs, which encompass attendance, turnover rates, compliance with statutory and mandatory training, cultural transformation, management development, and recruitment efforts.

Communication & Relationship Management
- Engage in negotiations on complex and sensitive matters, including attendance issues, performance management, and organizational transformations with managers, employees, and union representatives.
- Provide expert support during HR processes such as disciplinary actions, grievance handling, consultations, and capability assessments.
- Manage and convey intricate and sensitive communications in challenging situations, including disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Participate in management meetings within the business sector to offer insights and guidance on HR-related challenges, supporting service performance and quality.
- Mentor and assist managers in applying equitable and effective HR processes and procedures, ensuring consistency across the Trust.
Analytical & Decision-Making Skills
- Utilize appropriate information sources, including employee databases, ESR, rostering systems, GRS, and establishment details, to analyze and interpret complex situations, recommending actions on intricate HR issues and strategies.
Planning and Organizational Skills
- Advise operational managers on the implementation and modification of a wide range of HR strategies across the business sector.

Qualifications
Essential
- In-depth knowledge of one or more HR disciplines at a master's level, acquired through formal education and professional HR qualifications, along with additional training or equivalent experience.
