Job Title: Sales Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Ledger Accountant to join our team at Edwards & Pearce - Doncaster. As a Sales Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile sales invoices and credit notes
  • Manage pro-forma accounts and ensure timely payment
  • Take a proactive role in credit control, collecting debts, and negotiating overdue accounts
  • Reconcile customer balances and process customer payments
  • Generate reminder letters and monthly statements
  • Maintain accurate records of chasing activity
  • Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers
  • Identify slow-moving debts and provide recommendations for bad debt provision
  • Manage month-end close procedures and provide detailed analysis and reporting
Requirements:
  • Strong accounting and financial management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems
