We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cost management services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commissions of varying sizes, including projects within the £10m to £50m range.
- Coach junior staff and allocate roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management on all projects.
- Manage the estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting the final cost plan to the client.
- Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, and compiling the contractual documents.
- Conduct contract administration, including dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Work collaboratively with our project management team during project delivery.
- Implement our Embodied Carbon Calculator and produce carbon footprint reports.
- Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
- Develop and maintain a professional network of peers and potential clients.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including external groups and networking events.
Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into our internal database.
Technical RequirementsManage projects on D365.
Reporting LineDepending on the context, a Senior Cost Manager is likely to report to an Associate Director, Project Director, or Director.
Key Performance Indicators- Commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
- Key information and data are effectively cascaded and appropriately retained.
