Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Assurance Specialist to join our specialist Cost & Supply Chain Assurance team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients deliver ambitious and highly technical projects, while also driving supply chain improvement and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver successful Cost Assurance commissions by reviewing and scrutinizing actual incurred costs, and providing expert advice to clients on cost management and control.
  • Work in teams of variable sizes, providing support to more junior members to allow them to develop and grow, while also contributing to the development of the service line by inputting into bids and refining internal training and information.
  • Review construction contractor systems, controls, and processes to provide a view on their ways of working, using intelligence from around the industry to build a view on best practice.
  • Analyze and understand complex construction contracts, and plan financial audits by understanding clients' objectives and risk areas, as well as the supply chains' structure, policies, and processes.
  • Perform testing of data and information using smart techniques and tools such as data visualization and trend/pattern analysis.
  • Produce findings reports that deliver key findings, recommendations, and messages in a succinct and professional manner.
  • Foster good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed, built around trust and professionalism.
  • Assist the maintenance of internal systems to ensure commission and financial management is compliant with business processes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience or a sound and suitable understanding of data analysis, time management, assessment of accuracy and entitlement to costs, report writing, and construction industry technical matters.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, preferably NEC3/4 (Option C, E).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a variable workload and tight deadlines.
