We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Daily Living Support Assistant to a young man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our client with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, health care, social support, and daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist our client with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support our client with health care, including administering medication and monitoring their condition
- Provide social support, including accompanying our client to appointments and engaging in activities they enjoy
- Assist with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and managing the household
- Drive our client's adapted vehicle to transport them to appointments and activities
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Confident in your driving ability
- Physically fit, calm, patient, and caring
- Good organisational skills and ability to work on your own initiative
- Willing to attend medical appointments as and when required
- Good sense of humour and mature, responsible attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to work with people with physical disabilities
- Fluent in English
- Non-smoker
- Full training in our client's particular needs
- On-call support from our client coordinator team
- A competitive hourly rate of £16
- 5.6 weeks' holiday (pro rata)
