Job Title: Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Therapy Assistant in our Talking Therapies service. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term post until May 2025, and we are looking for candidates who are committed to preparing for PWP training within our service. As a Therapy Assistant, you will be involved in supporting PWPs in group psycho-education and outreach work, as well as undertaking administrative aspects of the PWP role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support PWPs in delivering group psycho-education and outreach work
  • Undertake administrative aspects of the PWP role, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Work collaboratively with the PWP team to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Develop skills and knowledge in psychological therapies, with a view to progressing to PWP training
Requirements:
  • A psychology or social sciences degree with eligibility for graduate membership of BPS
  • Experience of working with individuals who are experiencing common mental health problems
  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity, including communication with members of the public
  • Basic awareness of IT and IT skills
