About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at HMP Fosse Way, a brand new Category C resettlement prison in the UK. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out fault finding and defect rectification to items of electrical plant and equipment, pre-planned maintenance of items of electrical plant and equipment, and installation of new plant and apparatus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault finding and defect rectification to items of electrical plant and equipment
  • Pre-planned maintenance of items of electrical plant and equipment
  • Installation of new plant and apparatus
  • Document inspection findings and pursue fault rectifications

Requirements

  • C & G Electrical Certificate or other recognised electrical trade qualification
  • Recognised trade apprenticeship and qualified to BS1 (Current Edition of the IEE Regulations)
  • At least 5 years associated trade experience post apprenticeship
  • Prepared to undertake training courses to expand on technical abilities if required by the business
