As a Logistics Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport and waste management processes. This is a permanent, full-time position within a reputable family-owned industrial organization that values a friendly and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct traffic flow on-site.
- Verify incoming loads for compliance with site regulations and permitted waste categories.
- Accurately document weights and waste types for each vehicle, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Efficiently process delivery notes and tickets.
- Report any contamination or non-compliance issues to the appropriate management personnel.
- Address any discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Ensure accurate reporting of waste tonnage and maintain correct customer and supplier information.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and site visitors, addressing their inquiries effectively.
- Communicate site rules to all customers and provide necessary guidance.
- Verify that all vehicles arriving on-site possess the correct documentation and EWC codes.
- Ensure proper paperwork is available for all forward movements from the site.
- Compile and maintain compliance reports for materials entering and exiting the site.
- Keep the site diary updated with accurate material records.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and customer service, including managing phone inquiries.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, HR, and Environmental policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Exceptional data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and effective workload prioritization.
- Proficiency in IT, with knowledge of MS Excel and SAGE being advantageous.
- Access to personal transportation is preferred.
