Permanent Position
£12.00 per hour (£17,472.00 per annum) plus additional on-call payments and weekend bonuses
28 hours per week, on a rota basis.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our well-established supported living team. If you are a compassionate and solution-oriented person, we would like to hear from you.
Your role will involve providing housing management assistance and related services, empowering residents to achieve greater independence while enhancing their overall well-being. You will play a vital role in our team as we embark on our smart homes initiative, participating in the delivery of innovative service developments and the integration of technology to improve residents' lives.
Throughout your day, you will conduct responsive visits to residents, performing assessments to address their health, safety, and welfare needs. You will collaborate closely with the team and the estate manager to resolve issues, employing solution-focused and person-centered strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing and reviewing support needs and risk assessments with individual residents while maintaining accurate computerized records.
- Communicating with and updating the Estate Manager and Senior Housing Management Assistant regarding any housing-related concerns or issues faced by residents.
- Demonstrating proficiency in the use of Smart Home technology and assisting residents in utilizing these devices to enhance their support.
- Providing prompt and effective responses to residents' requests concerning housing matters, such as repairs, rent inquiries, service charges, or housing benefit guidance.
- Collaborating with residents to develop a plan that addresses their housing needs and requirements as necessary.
- Encouraging, supporting, and participating in estate activities and events within the community center.
We seek an individual with experience in supporting the elderly, possessing a calm and empathetic demeanor, and a balanced approach when necessary. You will be part of a small team but should also be comfortable working independently. Flexibility is essential, as this role operates on a rota basis, primarily during standard hours, and may require participation in an on-call schedule to respond to emergencies.
