Job Title: Cyber Security Senior Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Senior Analyst to join our team at Leonardo SpA. As a key member of our Cyber Security division, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' networks and systems from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse network, application, and system events to identify potential security incidents and raise them for investigation.
  2. Perform proactive analysis and threat hunting across client networks, leveraging knowledge of current threats and trends.
  3. Ensure all tickets are quality checked before release to the customer.
  4. Maintain a broad and current understanding of evolving threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the security of our client networks.
  5. Act as a protective monitoring and SIEM SME during normal operations and as part of project teams developing new solutions and capabilities.
  6. Ensure sufficient staffing levels are available to meet minimum staffing requirements for 24/7/365 operations.
  7. Support analyst training, user awareness, and mandated security education as required.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in cyber security, including protective monitoring and incident response.
  2. SIEM (LogRhythm, Splunk, etc) and IDS (Snort) experience.
  3. Network and Host security experience.
  4. Threat intelligence and threat hunting skills.
  5. Excellent communications skills and ability to mentor and coach.
  6. Ability to gain SC Clearance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. SANS SEC 503 Intrusion Detection in Depth or equivalent.
  2. SANS SEC 504 Incident Handling, Hacker Tools, and Techniques or equivalent.
  3. SANS SEC 508 Advanced Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Digital Forensics or equivalent.
  4. SANS SEC 511 Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations or equivalent.
