About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our Technology team based in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in Cyber Security for IOP Publishing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading alignment to our agreed information assurance framework, providing insights into security threats, and managing security suppliers and partners. You will also promote an appropriate level of cyber security culture and awareness across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead alignment to agreed information assurance framework
  • Provide insights into security threats working alongside Technology staff to ensure appropriate remediation
  • Manage security suppliers and partners (e.g. MDR)
  • Promote an appropriate level of cyber security culture and awareness across the organisation
  • Manage requests for information relating to cyber security matters
  • Lead any investigations into Cyber security breaches or suspected breaches
  • Lead on discussions with external parties (partners, suppliers, customers etc) in relation to cyber security
  • Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on security progress and issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is desirable
  • CISM, CISSP, CISA or similar professional qualification
  • Proven track record managing security provisions within a global, fast-paced organisation
  • Strong understanding of best practice in relation to Cyber Security
  • Experience of working in environments aligned to ISO27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus would be beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of security tooling and technologies including SIEM, vulnerability management, DLP etc
  • Good knowledge and understanding of public Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS and Azure)
  • Good understanding of the current threat landscape
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional prioritisation skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of business and organisational risk and the ability to analyse situations and apply judgement on decisions
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation
  • Resourceful and purposeful, with initiative, drive, and a strong desire to deliver exceptional results
