About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Code Governance team at National Grid ESO. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in leading industry code governance processes and ensuring the effective administration of electricity codes.

With a strong background in project management, regulation, policy, and code change experience, you will be responsible for managing multiple activities and issues to meet set time constraints. Your expertise in building effective internal and external relationships, combined with strong negotiating and influencing skills, will be essential in driving successful outcomes.

As a Governance Team Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of the team, providing expert regulatory support to the business and ensuring that industry codes are administered effectively. You will also be responsible for managing the Ofgem relationship for governance issues and acting as an industry leader in communication and engagement strategies.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with the option to work from Wokingham or Warwick. We are open to full-time and part-time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead industry code governance processes and ensure effective administration of electricity codes.
  2. Project manage industry code changes through the governance process.
  3. Oversee the day-to-day activities of the team and provide expert regulatory support to the business.
  4. Manage the Ofgem relationship for governance issues.
  5. Act as an industry leader in communication and engagement strategies.
