Support Students in Their Learning Journey

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Oldham. In this vital role, you will work closely with students to help them achieve their academic goals and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Students with Individual Learning Needs: Work one-on-one and in small groups to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • Assist Teachers in Implementing Lesson Plans: Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Manage Classroom Behaviour: Create a positive and respectful learning environment that promotes social-emotional growth and academic success.
  • Monitor and Track Student Progress: Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Foster an Inclusive Environment: Develop and maintain a culture of inclusivity, respect, and empathy that supports students with diverse learning needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience Working with Children: A background in working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to Adapt to Different Teaching Strategies: Flexibility to adapt to various teaching approaches and learning styles to meet the needs of diverse students.
  • Enhanced DBS and Eligibility to Work in the UK: Mandatory enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
