PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

General Duties

accountable for the comprehensive musical growth of students whose guardians seek instrumental education.

Specific Responsibilities

to instruct a diverse array of instruments across various disciplines, catering to students at all proficiency levels. to create opportunities for performances and encourage group playing whenever feasible. to collaborate with the Music department or Head Teacher regarding the recruitment of new students and work with all stakeholders to enhance the reach and influence of the position. to offer a broad selection of progressive, engaging, and appealing educational materials. to stay informed about curricular advancements in music and pursue personal growth in the full spectrum of instruments taught. to provide students with a structured curriculum for the intervals between lessons, ensuring that this information is included in student progress records (in both digital and paper formats). to generate student evaluations based on precise assessments of their work and the accurate documentation of such data. to ensure that instrumental offerings are closely aligned with the broader Music curriculum within the institution. to prepare students for external assessments when suitable and guide them towards opportunities for involvement in school or regional ensembles, as well as national organizations. to recognize the significance of music-making within Highland communities. to assist in preparing students who aspire to pursue higher education in music. to maintain communication with the Head of Music Development and business support personnel at High Life Highland.
