Job Title: Teaching Assistant - ASC

New Directions Holding is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Manchester area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Complex Needs in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ASC and Complex Needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a sense of community and trust.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address individual student needs, developing and implementing personalized education plans.
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging students to engage in activities and participate in lessons.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with ASC and Complex Needs, preferably in a classroom-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the development of individual education plans and supporting the teaching team.
  • Positive attitude towards teaching and supporting children's development, with a commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being.
