Job Title: Deputy Home Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join our team at ARC (Norwich) Limited. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring high-quality care and service delivery to residents, their families, and external professionals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting all employees to develop the skills, knowledge, and ability to undertake their roles, including promotion and management of training.
  • Implementing policies on medication ordering, administration, storage, and destruction.
  • Audit checks on MAR sheets and evidence spot checks.
  • Supporting and assisting the Registered Manager in duties and deputising during their absence.
  • Ensuring high-quality care and service is provided to residents, their families, and external professionals.
  • Leading on an open and positive workplace culture amongst staff, motivating and empowering them.
  • Ensuring local authority and internal care and placement plans are in place.
  • Supporting residents to participate in educational sessions, physical activities, group activities, and day-to-day living.
  • Participating in referral processes and development of assessment and transition planning.
  • Supporting in the recruitment and induction of new staff and delivering the ethos consistently across the homes and company.
Person Specification:
  • Effective and strong communication and leadership skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 in young person's setting or equivalent (essential).
  • NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children's Health and Social Care or Adult Social Care (not essential but must be willing to undertake training).
  • Passionate and caring towards and with adults/young people and children with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport.
