We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Dimensions, an award-winning not-for-profit support organisation. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling the independence and empowerment of individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and finances.
- Support individuals to engage in activities they enjoy, such as music sessions, trips to the cinema, and outings to the seaside.
- Communicate effectively with individuals who use alternative methods of communication, such as sign language or picture communication symbols.
- Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
- Full UK/EU driving license essential.
- Ability to work a mixture of early and late shifts, including one sleep-in shift per week.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.44.
- 30 days annual leave pro rata, with the option to buy and sell leave.
