About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Gloucestershire, working with older people and their families. As a key member of our Community Mental Health (CMHT) and Memory Assessment Service (MAS) teams, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working with older adults and a commitment to psychologically informed service delivery. You will be an adaptable, flexible, and resilient team player with excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative.

As a Clinical Psychologist in this role, you will work closely with colleagues to continuously improve service provision and contribute to the development of training projects. You will also have the opportunity to engage in consultancy, teaching, and supervision of colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, person-centred care for older adults and their families.
  • Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve service provision and contribute to the development of training projects.
  • Engage in consultancy, teaching, and supervision of colleagues.
  • Participate in regular CPD, clinical and professional supervision, and joint service development and training projects.
Person Specification
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or an equivalent Applied Psychology qualification, as accredited by the BPS.
Desirable
  • Experience of conducting appraisals and monitoring performance of staff.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
