The role of the Technical Sales Executive for Roofing Solutions encompasses:
  • A field-based sales role focused on promoting various roofing solutions including felt roofing, green roofing technologies, bitumen solutions, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply systems, and structural waterproofing.
  • The primary responsibility involves securing specifications with local authorities, building surveyors, refurbishment surveyors, and property owners.
  • The remaining time will be spent engaging with main contractors and approved roofing specialists.
  • Accountability for a sales target in the range of £1.5m-£2m.
  • Inheriting a substantial project portfolio that will facilitate the achievement of upcoming sales objectives.
  • Access to a pipeline of active projects and those in the tendering phase.
  • A focus on refurbishment initiatives.
  • Comprehensive product training will be provided.

The ideal candidate for the Technical Sales Executive role will possess:
  • A proven history of success in technically oriented specification field sales.
  • An openness to products related to the building envelope, such as cladding, external wall insulation, and roof windows, along with experience in contracting.
  • Experience with local authorities, building surveyors, or property owners/end users is advantageous.
  • Surveying knowledge or experience may be beneficial.
  • Strong background in the refurbishment construction sector is preferred.
  • A highly motivated, self-driven individual with a strong desire to succeed and advance.
  • A collaborative team player with a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
