Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our team at Wentworth James Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using MIG and TIG techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components to ensure high-quality results.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures using a range of techniques and tools.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools for welding tasks, ensuring efficient and safe working practices.
  • Work with sheet metal to create precise welds, meeting the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Weld a range of materials, including Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Mild Steel, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to ensure the quality of welded components, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with experience in stick welding an advantage.
  • Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements, ensuring accurate and precise work.
  • Competence in using power tools and hand tools for welding purposes, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Strong ability to weld, fabricate, and assemble metal structures, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and ensure quality welds, with a strong understanding of metal properties and behavior.
