About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Design Lead to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our Design Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving customer centricity across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale strategic initiatives, providing a customer-centric lens that considers the overall customer experience, product portfolio, roadmap, and business case.
  • Champion a customer-first culture to drive our customer centricity agenda throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead and support multi-disciplinary projects through discovery, synthesis, ideation, design, and prototyping.
  • Apply human-centered problem-solving methodologies to solve complex business problems, enhance user experience, and support business growth.
  • Identify opportunities and manage projects to deliver on customer needs and business priorities.
Requirements
  • Experience in translating observations into insights, playing between strategy, service, and/or business design, UX, and research.
  • A visual thinker who is adept at communicating via creative software platforms and/or media.
  • An excellent facilitator, with an ability to bring together different perspectives to get to the right outcome for our customers and our business.
  • Examples of problem-solving through design processes where you have helped businesses arrive at successful solutions.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity yet act decisively, and a capacity to coach others through the process.
  • Experience in digital human-centered design, design thinking tools, and methods.
  • Project and stakeholder management experience.
