Position Overview
The Operational Estates division at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance Operator. This role will primarily be based within our healthcare facilities, with potential assignments at various community sites under our management. This unique position provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a substantial healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and prior experience in a maintenance role, focusing on the upkeep of the Health Board's properties across the region. Participation in an on-call schedule to cover holiday periods will be required.
Welsh language proficiency is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.
Main Responsibilities
As a Building Maintenance Operator, you will:
- Work collaboratively within a large organization, contributing to various maintenance projects.
- Utilize your expertise in building maintenance and repair tasks, demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Travel to different locations and departments as needed, ensuring all properties are well-maintained.
Applicants should have completed a formal apprenticeship in a relevant building discipline and ideally hold an academic qualification at NVQ Level or Higher National Certificate.
