Job Title: EYFS Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant and diverse two-form entry primary school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to children in EYFS, particularly those with high SEN needs, including speech and language difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other developmental delays.
  • Work closely with the EYFS teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning activities to meet the needs of each child.
  • Assist in the delivery of a stimulating and creative EYFS curriculum, supporting children's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Help with day-to-day classroom tasks, including setting up activities, supervising outdoor play, and assisting with personal care needs if required.
  • Monitor and report on children's progress to the class teacher and SENCO, ensuring that targets are being met.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in the EYFS age range.
  • Ability to work closely with the EYFS teacher and SENCO to implement IEPs and adapt learning activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
