About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Ward Clerk to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients and their families upon arrival to the ward.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
  • Support nursing and medical staff with administrative tasks, including discharge planning and communication with other departments.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with other areas of the hospital to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • English Language GCSE grade C or above or equivalent.
  • Administrative qualification or equivalent experience.
  • IT/Computer skills or equivalent with recent work experience in this field.
  • Experience of taking and responding to telephone enquiries from customers and within own organization and prioritizing as necessary.
  • Six-month experience of working within an NHS environment or customer care.
  • Experience of using computers in a work environment.
