Position Overview

Omega Personnel Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair, ensuring the functionality and safety of our building assets and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Building Management Systems: Operate and monitor BEMS controls to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fault Response: Provide first-line response to electrical faults and issues.
  • Water Safety: Perform water flushing and temperature testing in compliance with L8/Legionella standards.
  • Cleaning & Disinfection: Carry out cleaning and disinfection of showerheads and ventilation grilles.
  • Electrical Work: Execute electrical repairs, including light fittings and emergency lighting systems.
  • General Maintenance: Attend to plumbing issues, filter changes, and minor repairs to building fabric.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure fire safety equipment is operational and assist with emergency lift calls.
  • Support for Subcontractors: Collaborate with specialist subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • Completion of City and Guilds or equivalent certification for 18th/19th Edition Electrical Installations (BS7671).
  • A strong understanding of various building systems, including HVAC, water treatment, and electrical installations.
  • A valid driving license and excellent communication skills in English.
Experience Requirements

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive building services.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Experience in inspecting, testing, and commissioning mechanical installations.
