Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Wind Tunnel Support Team at our state-of-the-art facility in Bedford. As a Wind Tunnel Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth technical operation of the facility, providing first-line support and maintenance of the wind tunnel and its associated systems.

This is a demanding but rewarding role that requires a strong background in engineering, good IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people. You will work on a four on/four off shift pattern, including nights on a rotation basis, and be responsible for running the wind tunnel, ensuring the test programme is carried out safely, efficiently, and on time.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be technically minded, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work under pressure, think critically, and make sound decisions quickly. Previous experience in a similar role is ideal, but we are open to graduates looking to make their first step into Formula 1.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about aerodynamics and has a strong desire to learn and grow with our team. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of new wind tunnel systems and the maintenance of existing equipment.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including engineers, technicians, and management. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
