Job Overview

Venterra Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geophysicist to join our team as an Offshore Wind Expert. As a key member of our Geoscience team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' offshore wind projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement geophysical strategies for offshore site investigations and laboratory testing initiatives.
  • Lead Geotechnical Site Assessments for offshore wind farm projects from inception to finalisation.
  • Collaborate with site investigation contractors to ensure compliance with contractual, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage site investigation teams and on-site representatives to deliver high-quality data.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to navigate third-party impacts on site investigations and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise the interpretation of extensive geotechnical datasets and conduct comprehensive site characterisations.
  • Assess and onboard new site investigation contractors, technologies, and methodologies to enhance local supply chain participation and project efficiency.
Requirements
  • Hold a University Degree in geophysics-related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and possess a strong technical and commercial understanding.
  • Good collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Experience in running large offshore geotechnical campaigns.
