Lead Healthcare Support Specialist, Permanent Role
Outpatient and Phlebotomy Division
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, including Bank Holidays
An exciting and fulfilling opportunity has emerged within our Outpatient Division. We invite applications from adaptable, enthusiastic, and driven individuals.
This position entails collaborating with registered nurses, clinicians, and members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team within the Outpatient Division.
Our Outpatient services support a diverse range of clinical teams and activities, including endoscopy, ECG, phlebotomy, PICC & Port access and care, and SACT assessment clinics. This variety ensures a dynamic workday and numerous learning opportunities for our staff.
Strong communication skills are crucial, and experience in phlebotomy is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Healthcare Support Specialist will undertake clerical tasks; provide direct care, assistance, and emotional support to patients and their families; perform phlebotomy, PICC, and Port access and care; assist clinicians with endoscopic procedures; ensure the cleaning, safe handling, and storage of endoscopes; conduct observations, urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and ECG recording; prepare for clinics; and uphold high standards of documentation and record-keeping.
Excellent communication skills and prior experience as a Band 3 healthcare support worker with phlebotomy expertise are essential.
This role will primarily be based within our Diagnostic Centre, although flexibility may be required to support other Outpatient Clinics across various locations as needed.

Education & Qualifications
Essential:
