The RoleAs a Culinary Specialist in one of our schools, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for students and staff. You will focus on delivering high-quality food and service, showcasing flair, originality, and the ability to make our catering offer stand out.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing menus using provided recipes
- Ensuring Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety compliance
- Producing hospitality services as per client requests
- Supervising the team
- Building relationships with clients and customers
- Providing a friendly and polite customer service experience
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of education catering, using fresh ingredients, and excellent craft skills
- Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training available)
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
- Computer literacy with experience of using different systems
- Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, desire to learn, and achieve while motivating others
We offer fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, allowing for more time with friends and family. This role includes:
- 37.5 hours per week, with no late nights
- Working 38 weeks per year, based around term time
- £14.50 per hour
