Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospice South West. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, home-cooked meals and snacks for children and families during their stays.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve a range of delicious meals and snacks, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
- Work collaboratively with our team of kitchen staff and volunteers to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas, taking into account the needs and preferences of our guests.
- Contribute to the overall success of our hospice, supporting our mission to provide exceptional care and support to children and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a professional kitchen, with a strong focus on food safety and hygiene.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
- A current basic food hygiene certificate and a recognized catering qualification (or willingness to undertake this).
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to providing high-quality food and drink.
