About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Moray Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with children, young people, and their families to promote their wellbeing and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies, organizations, and individuals to further promote the wellbeing of children, young people, and their families.
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of services for children, young people, and their families.
- Ensure effective risk assessment and risk management in a child care setting.
- Manage cases within a multi-agency environment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
- A Degree/CQSW/Diploma in Social Work and SSSC Registration.
- Experience within child care/child protection setting.
- Knowledge of, and ability to work effectively within, relevant child care legislation and practice.
- Good assessment and report writing skills.
- Effective communication and mediation skills.
- Ability to reflect on practice and engage in a purposeful and reflective supervision.
- Excellent recording and record management skills.
- Knowledge of the needs of children who have experienced trauma in their lives.
- Ability to challenge practice appropriately.
- Ability to contribute to service development.
- Ability to work effectively with Area Team Social Workers and other agency staff.
Working Arrangements
This is a full-time position, with a range of hours available. We welcome applications from qualified social workers who are committed to delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and families in our community.
